Internship:
Would you like to learn how the Berlin Drawing Room works behind the scenes? Internship tasks are a combination of working directly with our artist instructors and assisting during workshops, as well as research and marketing projects with flexible/ remote working hours. You must be fluent in English and reliable. Apply for an internship (unpaid) by sending a letter of interest and your CV. Currently enrolled university students are welcome to apply.
Work Trade Scholarship:
Assist one of our artist instructors during an in-person workshop in exchange for tuition. Tasks include helping with set-up, clean-up, taking photos during the workshop and the occasional errand. Work trade positions are limited to one person per in-person workshop. To inquire, send us an email with your first and second choice of workshops and a little about yourself.
Artist Instructor:
If you are a professional artist based in Berlin and you have an idea for a workshop that you think would fit with our program, please get in touch!
Requirements:
– Professional artist with studio practice and exhibition record.
– Fluent in English.
– Can write invoices as a freelancer in Germany (with Tax ID).
To Apply:
– Tell us a little bit about yourself and why you want to teach with BDR.
– CV including teaching experience and artistic activity.
– Link to your portfolio.
– Workshop proposal: what kind of medium or technique would you like to teach.
Life Drawing Model:
We are on the lookout for talented life drawing models of all genders and body types. To apply, send us a description of your relevant experience and a few photos that show your body type. We can only hire models with a German Tax ID that can write invoices.
Workshop Space:
We are always looking for great workshop locations! If you would be interested in hosting a creative workshop in your space, please get in touch!
