Painting Student Exhibition with Artist-Instructor Juancar
Our artist-instructor Juancar recently opened Begegnung, a group exhibition at Eszenzia in Charlottenburg, together with 22 participants from his painting and drawing workshops.
The title Begegnung is a German word that brings together ideas of encounter, meaningful connection and exchange. The exhibition reflects on drawing and painting as creative practices, and as ways of slowing down, connecting with ourselves and others, and exploring emotions through creativity.
For the exhibition, Juancar invited participants to share works inspired by exercises and ideas they had explored together in his workshops. The result is an ongoing dialogue between teacher and students, with each artist bringing their own perspective to the experience.
A big thank you to Adriana, Allan, Antonio, Başak, Cian, Deborah, Denitza, Grégory, Hana, Hira, Ivan, Lexi, Lilly, Nora, Parsa, Petra, Sabina, Samantha, Sandra, Shafaq, Yalda, Yun and Zoe for being part of the exhibition.
On Sunday, 20 September, Juancar will be at the exhibition for a day of drawing, connection and sharing: first with the Connection – Kreative Mindful Session from 10 am to 12:30, followed by the exhibition finissage from 2 to 4 pm. We’d love to see you there!
