During this lesson we will learn how to paint the fine hairs that cover the bottom of the petals and the stem.
For this technique, you will need white gouache. Gouache is similar to watercolor, except that it is opaque, not transparent. Here I use Titanium White gouache, a particularly opaque pigment, by Schmincke. You might also come across other white pigments, such as Zinc White, that are less opaque. You can always check the manufacturer’s labeling system to discover which pigments are more or less opaque.
