Workshop Description

Floral painting has been reimagined throughout art history: from classical still lives to bold contemporary illustration. In this workshop, guided by artist Juancar, you’ll learn how to paint flowers and plants beyond realism, combining observation with abstraction to develop your own visual language.

Through playful, step-by-step exercises, you’ll explore how to paint not only what you see, but also what you feel: translating scent, energy, and strength into expressive marks. By the end of the session, you will have created a unique artwork that transforms this timeless motif into a fresh, personal expression.

What we focus on

  • Gain a deeper understanding of both technical and conceptual aspects of painting.

  • Learn multiple approaches to painting beyond traditional representation.

  • Improve your confidence and inspiration to continue exploring creative expression.

Materials:

  • Provided: Acrylic paint, Paper and basic painting set up.

  • Please bring an apron or clothes for painting. Optional: your own acrylic paintbrushes (if you have them).

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is open to all levels. Juancar will give you individual feedback. The more experience you have, the easier it will be to experiment with new approaches. If you’re curious about pushing your artistic boundaries, this is a guided and inspiring space to do so.
